Menopause & perimenopause
After more than 20 years of the medical community neglecting peri- and menopausal care, evidence has emerged to safely approach the prescription of hormones during the perimenopausal and menopausal transition.
Dr. Guiahi has completed dedicated training and received certifications from The Menopause Society and the Heather Hirsch Academy. She continues ongoing education in evidence-based hormone and nonhormonal therapies.

Sexual medicine
Sexual health concerns often overlap with perimenopause and menopause, but they can affect patients at any age and deserve expert, respectful care.
Dr. Guiahi has attended dedicated courses and trainings through the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health (ISSWSH) and is recognized as an ISSWSH provider. Care may address pain with sex, changes in desire, arousal, orgasm, and related concerns.

Recurrent vaginitis
Recurring itching, burning, odor, or discharge deserves more than repeated trial-and-error treatment. Yeast infections, bacterial vaginosis (BV), and other conditions can feel similar—and sometimes occur together.
Alongside a thoughtful exam, our advanced molecular and culture-based testing can identify the cause and distinguish Candida species when clinically appropriate. Clearer results give Dr. Guiahi better guidance for targeted treatment and a follow-up plan aimed at more complete, lasting clearance.

Care of breast cancer survivors
Breast cancer treatment can bring early or medically induced menopause, genitourinary symptoms, sexual health changes, menstrual concerns, and questions about safe symptom relief.
Dr. Guiahi provides individualized gynecologic and menopause care for breast cancer survivors, including evidence-based hormonal and nonhormonal options when appropriate. Care can be coordinated with each patient's oncology team so decisions reflect their cancer history, symptoms, health priorities, and personal preferences.

Many diagnostic and therapeutic gynecologic procedures can be completed in the office, often avoiding hospital-based operating-room care when clinically appropriate.
Dr. Guiahi pairs procedural expertise with clear counseling, individualized pain-relief planning, and thoughtful aftercare. The safest setting depends on the procedure, its complexity, medical history, and each patient's needs and preferences.
